We kindly invite all colleagues and exhibitors to the Annual Meeting of the Hungarian Biochemical Society (HBS), to be held between 27-30 August, 2020, in Pécs, Hungary. The conference will be a vivid and open forum for communication and exchange of latest ideas in a broad range of fields of biochemistry and molecular biology.
The conference will be held in English. Participation of colleagues from neighboring countries, as well as all corners of the world, is highly encouraged and welcome.
The conference will be hosted by the Medical School of the University of Pécs. Pécs a city with a rich cultural heritage, plentiful attractions and the neighboring Villány wine region. Villány is home to many of the best Hungarian wine producers, and a visit to the region will be an integral part of the social activities at the conference.
The Meeting will be organized around the following planned topics:
- Lipids and membranes – components, structure and function
- Genome organization, maintenance, functional genomics
- Bioinformatics, synthetic biology, genome engineering, biotechnology
- Molecular signaling, cell-cell communication, cell death and differentiation
- Molecular basis of disease and therapy, stem cells, immunity and inflammation
- Regulation of gene expression, regulatory RNA, epigenetics
- Protein structure, function and modeling
- Translational medicine
The program will include plenary and award lectures, sessions of oral presentations and poster sessions.
We kindly invite you to present your results at the meeting. Abstracts for presentation from all fields of biochemistry and molecular biology are welcome. The Scientific organizing committee will select abstracts for oral presentations.
The Meeting is organized in collaboration with Diamond Congress Ltd.
The deadline for early bird registration is 30 June 2020 and for the abstract submission, 31 May 2020.
Abstracts will be published in Biokémia, the official open-access e-journal of the Hungarian Biochemical Society.
The conference will be held at the Medical School of the University of Pécs [Szigeti str 12, H-7624 Pécs, Hungary], within walking distance to the historical city center, facilities for lodging, restaurants and further places of public interest.
